Hyounghan Kwon

Hyounghan Kwon is a Research Scientist at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology since October 2022. Previously, Hyounghan served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford University from July 2021 to August 2022, focusing on photonics under Prof. Jelena Vuckovic. Hyounghan completed a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Caltech, where studies on dielectric metasurfaces were conducted under Prof. Andrei Faraon from September 2016 to June 2021. Hyounghan began academic research as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Seoul National University from August 2014 to August 2016, investigating plasmonics and plasmonic metasurfaces with Prof. Byoungho Lee. Hyounghan earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Seoul National University between 2009 and 2016.
