Josh Johnston has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 2003 with an internship in embedded software engineering at Cadenux, Inc. In 2004, they interned in embedded software engineering at HP. From 2005 to 2006, they worked at Carnegie Mellon University's Field Robotics Center, where they participated in the 2005 DARPA Grand Challenge and led a team in securing NASA contracts. Josh then joined Autonomous Solutions in 2007 as a robotics scientist, leading the development of a self-driving car for the DARPA Urban Challenge.
