Soumitra Deshpande

Soumitra Deshpande has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Starting in 2010, they worked in Sales & Marketing for Eutectic, Welding Products Business at Larsen & Toubro Limited. In this role, they were responsible for managing key accounts, lead generation, and order booking. Soumitra also received appreciation for outstanding work and customer satisfaction.

In 2013, Soumitra worked in Marketing at Hindustan Times, where they led the planning and execution of a digital campaign, including engagement on social media platforms.

From 2014 to 2015, they joined Klevu Ltd as a Growth Specialist/Core Team Member. Soumitra contributed to the company's growth through various initiatives, including business development, marketing, and growth hacking across ecommerce platforms. Soumitra also played a key role in hiring and coaching the initial sales team.

Soumitra then moved on to Tracxn in 2015, where they served as the Director of Business Development. Soumitra was responsible for driving business development efforts in this role.

In 2017, they began working at Freshworks, initially as Head of Startup Program - Global. In this role, they led multiple partner programs and initiatives, including System Integrators, ISVs, Cloud Providers, and Channel Partners. Soumitra also played a key role in building and managing the Freshworks marketplace.

At Freshworks, Soumitra also held the role of Strategic and Technology Partnerships, where they pioneered partnerships for new business growth and retention. Soumitra built and managed partner relationships, owned partner lifecycle processes, and was responsible for the overall success and profitability of partners.

In 2020, Soumitra took on mentorship roles at Baltic Sandbox, Startup Wise Guys, and Disruptors.ai, providing guidance and support to startups.

Currently, Soumitra holds the position of Head of Partnerships at Kovai.co, starting in 2023.

Soumitra Deshpande holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Brand Management & Digital Marketing from MICA | The School of Ideas, which they completed from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Metallurgical Engineering from NIT Jaipur from 2005 to 2009. Soumitra completed their secondary education at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Aurangabad, with a XII in Science in 2005 and a X in Science in 2003. Soumitra Deshpande also has a certification in Venture Capital Financing from BSE Institute Ltd, completed in an unspecified year.
