We are currently seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our team. This unique position is essential to KPM’s culture of internal and external client service. The position will process KPM’s internal payroll and also support our outsourced payroll team.

Job Duties Include:

  • Process multiple client and KPM’s internal semi-monthly payrolls in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee and client payroll related questions.

  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax withholding laws.

  • Help manage workflows to ensure accurate and timely processing of internal and external new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.

  • Collaborate with KPM’s internal HR on benefits, leave & other payroll-related items.

  • Administer & complete all tasks associated with KPM’s semi-monthly payroll & other internal payrolls as required.

  • Maintain personnel records and other payroll documentation in an organized and confidential manner.

  • Coordinate with Payroll Manager as needed on client-related issues.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Understanding of full payroll cycle

  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations and procedures

  • Proficient in using payroll software and spreadsheet applications

  • Attention to detail, organized and analytical

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

  • Excellent MS Office skills

  • Top-notch client service skills

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of the firm's clients & businesses

  • Ability to work as a team player in a deadline driven environment

  • Excellent oral & written communication skills

Required Experience:

  • Five or more years of payroll-related work experience.

  • Candidates should have a solid working knowledge of payroll processes and related tax and compliance procedures.
