Mark Phillips has a diverse work experience spanning over 27 years. Mark currently holds the position of Director, Tactical Communications at Kratos Defense and Security Solutions since August 2020. Prior to that, Mark worked at Boeing for 8 years, where they held the roles of Director of Program Management & Strategy, DRT, and Manager of Strategic Development. Before Boeing, Mark was a Director at Government Contract Solutions, leading the Missions Support Group from 2010 to 2012. Mark also served as a General Manager at Rockwell Collins, leading the Intelligence Solutions business unit, and as a Principal Strategic Development Manager and Principal Program Manager. Mark started their career as a Captain in the US Army, where they served from 1993 to 1997.

Mark Phillips received their B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University in 1993. Mark later went on to pursue an MBA from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, specializing in Business Administration and Management, General, which they completed in 2001. In addition to their degrees, they obtained certifications in ITIL v3 from Loyalist Certification Services in 2011 and Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI in February 2009. Furthermore, Mark obtained a Lean Master certification in 2003.
