Nikolaus Obholzer has a diverse work experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, and research. Nikolaus is currently the Director of Computational Biology at Kronos Bio, Inc., where they oversee target identification and develops analytical processes for omics data. Prior to this, they worked as an Associate Director of Bioinformatics at Kronos Bio, Inc., where they played a key role in various preclinical and clinical research projects, including target identification, hit discovery, and lead optimization. Nikolaus also has experience in senior bioinformatics roles at Ipsen and Thomson Reuters. Additionally, Nikolaus has conducted research in computational biology and genomics at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Broad Institute, and Harvard Medical School. Nikolaus began their research career as a Research Assistant and Graduate Student at Heidelberg University.

Nikolaus Obholzer holds a PhD (Dr.rer.nat) in Biology from Heidelberg University, which they obtained from 2003 to 2007.
