Oleg Volkov

Oleg Volkov has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. Oleg is currently working at Kronos Bio as a Principal Scientist, where they started in July 2023 after holding the positions of Senior Scientist and Research Scientist. Prior to that, Oleg worked at Peloton Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist from June 2018 to June 2020. At Peloton Therapeutics, they were involved in several projects related to crystallography, protein expression, and ligand binding. Before joining Peloton Therapeutics, Oleg worked at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Oleg started as a Postdoctoral Researcher II in March 2010 and later became an Instructor from April 2016 to June 2018. During their time at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Oleg made significant contributions to the discovery and characterization of novel inhibitors and anti-parasitic compounds. Overall, Oleg Volkov has amassed extensive experience in various scientific research roles, making him a valuable asset in the field.

Oleg Volkov completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry at Odessa I.I.Mechnikov National University from 1999 to 2004. Oleg then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from 2005 to 2009 at Southern Methodist University.
