Maria Torres-Castillo

Associate Principal Scientist at KSQ Therapeutics

Maria Torres-Castillo is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in cell process development and therapeutic product optimization. Currently serving as an Associate Principal Scientist at KSQ Therapeutics, Inc. since October 2019, Maria specializes in process development for cell therapy products, including managing vendor relationships and designing experiments utilizing CRISPR/Cas9 technology. Prior roles include Scientist III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where Maria developed serum-free media for T cell subsets, and Research Associate II at Renovo Neural Inc., focusing on high-content screening and project management. Maria's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Neuroscience from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. Maria is also pursuing further education at the Weatherhead School of Management.
