Daniel Wilmot

Daniel Wilmot has extensive work experience in finance and budgeting. Daniel currently holds the position of Director of Budgets & Financial Services at the KU Office of Research at The University of Kansas, which they started in January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Finance Manager at the School of Business at The University of Kansas from May 2020 to January 2022.

Before joining The University of Kansas, Daniel worked at the University of Kentucky as a Budget Officer in the College of Business & Economics from February 2018 to May 2020. Daniel also held the position of Business Analyst in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kentucky from February 2014 to February 2018.

In 2012, Daniel worked as an Audit Senior Associate at Deloitte, and from 2011 to 2014, they interned and worked as an Auditor at Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Daniel also gained experience as the Coordinator of Foreign Relations at Full Hearts from 2007 to 2011 and as a Controller's Office Student Worker at the Texas A&M Finance Department from 2010 to 2010.

Daniel Wilmot holds a Master's degree in Management from Texas A&M University (2010-2012) and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (BBA) from the same institution (2007-2012). Daniel also holds a Bachelor's degree (BA) in French from Texas A&M University (2007-2011). Additionally, Daniel has obtained certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the Kentucky Board of Accountancy. Daniel completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Kentucky between 2017 and 2020.
