As a Product Manager at Kumo.AI, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development and success of our product, which is focused on enabling users across the enterprise, regardless of Machine Learning (ML) background, to build and deploy predictions in production with best in class accuracy in hours instead of months on their relational data.

You'll be closely working with the founders and be responsible for defining the CUJs, driving the product roadmap, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the timely delivery of major features and solutions that meet customer needs on a per-release basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the founding team to define the strategic directions for the product. Bring internal and external user requirements to define the product strategy.
  • Execute the product strategy, prioritizing features and enhancements based on market trends, customer feedback, strategic opportunities, and business priorities.
  • Define critical user journeys (CUJs) and the complete flow through the product for data scientists of different levels of experience.
  • Program manage engineering execution on the prioritized features, ensuring that the most important features are properly delivered/launched on a release-by-release basis, where necessary helping the engineering team to make tradeoffs.
  • Champion the data scientist user experience by working closely with customers to understand their needs and feedback, ensuring our products are intuitive, user-friendly, and deliver exceptional value to customers.
  • Oversee the product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, and coordinate release activities, including blog posts, release notes, webinars, events, etc. alongside product marketing and sales teams
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform product decisions.

Good to Have

  • Experience in using and building tools, experiences, and platforms for data scientists and developers.
  • Be highly data-driven, knowing how to acquire, comprehend, and effectively utilize data for making optimal decisions.
  • Ideal candidates will have prior data scientist or engineering experience and currently operating as a (technical) product manager
  • Operate quickly and engage in continuous iteration, testing hypotheses, and experiments by incorporating customer feedback, data, and insights.
  • Have 5+ years of relevant experience in a technical role, with at least 2 of those in a product management role.
  • Experience with driving executions and technical program management.
  • Effective communication with the founders and the rest of the team.
  • Showing an understanding of machine learning, graph neural networks, data warehousing, and/or cloud technologies is a plus.

Qualifications

  • MS, MBA, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related technical field or equivalent.
  • Experience as a data scientist using modeling tools.
  • Proven experience as a Program Manager in a technology-driven and fast-growing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
