Guillem Ballesteros

Guillem Ballesteros has a wealth of work experience in data science and algorithm expertise. Most recently, they have been a Data Scientist at Kuva Space since 2021. Prior to this, they were a Data Scientist at City Facilities Management Holdings Ltd from 2020-2019 and a Data Scientist at Incremental Group from 2019-2017. From 2017-2014, they were an Algorithm Expert at Spectral Engines Oy. During this time, they also held the roles of PhD Student and Research Intern at Heriot-Watt University from 2014-2013. Additionally, they were a Research Assistant at ETH Zurich from 2013-2010, where they were granted a research scholarship from the Swiss SystemsX initiative. During this time, they studied the application of Bayesian methods to study populations of heterogeneous systems which were all governed by the same underlying model. Before this, they were a Junior Researcher at Nanophotonics Technology Center from 2010-2013, where they were granted a research scholarship from Universidad Politecnica de Valencia. During this time, they studied the behaviour of backscattering in microring resonators and developed numerical tools to study the nonlinear propagation of optical pulses in waveguides.

Guillem Ballesteros obtained their Secondary Education from English School Los Olivos between 1990 and 2005. In 2005, they also received a Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) from the University of Cambridge. Guillem then went on to obtain a Master of Science (MSc) in Physics from the University of Valencia between 2005 and 2010. Finally, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Communication Technologies, Systems and Networks from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) between 2010 and 2012.
