Joel Lemay

Joel Lemay has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Joel is currently working as a Software Developer at KX since January 2021. Previously, they worked at Squarepoint Capital as a Software Developer from December 2019 to December 2020. Prior to that, they worked at UBS as a Software Developer from February 2019 to November 2019. Joel has also worked as a Software Engineer at Kx Systems - a division of First Derivatives plc from November 2015 to February 2019.

Before venturing into the tech industry, Joel pursued their academic career, completing a Ph.D. in mathematics at the University of Ottawa from September 2011 to September 2015. Joel also earned a Master's degree in mathematics from the same university from September 2009 to August 2011.

Joel has also gained teaching experience, working as a Math/Science teacher at CAF+ for a brief period in 2008. Joel has also taught ESL (English as a Second Language) as an ESL teacher at British American Training from March 2007 to April 2008, and at Nova from August 2006 to January 2007.

Joel Lemay pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 1997 to 2002 they attended Ecole Secondaire La Citadelle. Joel then continued their academic journey at the University of Ottawa, starting in 2009 and concluding in 2015. During their time at the university, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics.
