Wendy Creek

Wendy Creek currently serves as the Interim Chief Academic Officer at LA Promise Fund, a position held since October 2023. Wendy has been the Director of K-12 Education at Creek Education Solutions since April 2019 and previously worked as the Chief Academic Officer for Grow Public Schools from June 2020 to June 2022. Wendy's experience also includes serving as Affiliate Faculty at Loyola Marymount University from October 2012 to June 2020, where training was provided for veteran math teachers and teacher leaders. Prior teaching roles were held at Torrance Unified School District from October 2000 to June 2020, including positions as a 6th-grade math and science teacher as well as a teacher leader, and at Bakersfield City School District from August 1997 to June 2000, focusing on bilingual and immersion teaching. Educational qualifications include a MAT in Mathematics and an EdD in Educational Leadership for Social Justice from Loyola Marymount University, alongside a BA in Music from California State University, Fresno.
