Ron Fraser P. Eng. PMP has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the government and municipal sectors. Ron Fraser is currently the Associate CAO of Infrastructure Services at Lac La Biche County, where they lead the Infrastructure Services Department. Their responsibilities include overseeing engineering, transportation, environment, fleet, and utility services. Previously, Ron worked as the Director of Engineering and Development Services at the City of Cranbrook, where they handled planning and development initiatives. Ron Fraser also served as the Interim CAO and Director of Development Services, overseeing the administration of the city and leading various departments. Ron has also held positions at Strathcona County as the Director of Transportation Planning and Engineering and at the Town of Drayton Valley as the Director of Engineering and Development. Earlier in their career, they worked for the Government of Alberta, holding roles such as Manager of Infrastructure and Operations, Manager of the Northeast Alberta Transportation Corridor, and Construction Engineer on road construction projects.

Ron Fraser P. Eng. PMP completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics from Acadia University, where they studied from 1974 to 1977. Ron Fraser further pursued their education and earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Transportation and Highway Engineering from Queen's University, graduating between 1978 and 1980.

In addition to their academic achievements, Ron Fraser P. Eng. PMP holds several certifications. Ron Fraser is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, obtained in July 2021. Ron Fraser is also a certified Professional Engineer (PE) with the Engineers and Geoscientists BC. Ron Fraser P. Eng. PMP is in the process of obtaining a Professional Engineer (PE) certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
