Szu-Yu Chen, Ph.D.

Szu-Yu Chen, Ph.D. began their work experience in 2005 as a Quality Control and Technical Operation Specialist at Bio-Tissue. In 2006, they joined TissueTech, Inc as a Product and Research Development Specialist before transitioning to various roles including Lab Manager & Research Associate, Research Scientist & Lab Manager, and Senior Lab Manager & Research Scientist. Szu-Yu served as the Senior R&D Lab Manager and Research Scientist at TissueTech, Inc from 2019 until 2021. Currently, they work as a Senior Scientist at Lacerta Therapeutics since October 2021.

Szu-Yu Chen, Ph.D. has an extensive education history in the field of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. From 2015 to 2018, Dr. Chen attended the University of Miami, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree. Prior to pursuing their Ph.D., they pursued a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Research Path at Barry University from 2003 to 2005. Dr. Chen's educational journey began at the University of Florida from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained their Bachelor of Art and Science degree with a specialization in Microbiology and Immunology.
