Ahu Demir

Ahu Demir, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology research and analysis. Starting in 2014, Ahu worked as a Patentability and Marketing Analyst at New York University. In 2017 and 2018, Ahu gained experience as a Biotechnology Research Associate at Cantor Fitzgerald and ROTH Capital Partners, respectively. Later, Ahu joined NOBLE Capital Markets as a Research Analyst and eventually became the Senior Vice President of Biotechnology Research. In 2019, Ahu became the NY Chapter MAPS Program Chair at Women In Bio - Engage. Educate. Empower. Most recently, Ahu is currently working as a Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst for Biotechnology at Ladenburg Thalmann.

Ahu Demir, Ph.D. completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemistry from the University of Florida between 2005 and 2010. Ahu then pursued postdoctoral training in Biochemistry at New York University from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they were a postdoctoral fellow in Molecular Biology at Columbia University from 2011 to 2013. In addition to their educational background, Ahu Demir also holds certifications such as Series 63, Series 7, Series 86, and Series 87 from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority).
