John Cachay has over nine years of work experience in various finance and analytics roles. John is currently the VP of Finance at Lafayette RE LLC, a position they started in August 2022. Prior to that, they founded their own company, Cachay's Business & Financial Analytics, in 2018.

From 2018 to 2022, John served as the Director of Finance at Patch Lending, where they played a key role in setting the company's direction and strategic planning. In addition to their professional experience, John has a strong passion for chess and has been a Chess Instructor since 2008. John is ranked as a Chess Expert by FIDE standards and teaches the game to individuals of various ages.

John Cachay has a Bachelor's degree in Finance with a specialization in Finance, General and Investment, which they obtained from California State University, Northridge from 2008 to 2013. John then pursued further education and earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General and a Master's degree in Master of Science in Leadership from Grand Canyon University, where they studied from 2016 to 2018. In addition to their academic qualifications, John Cachay is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and an Accredited Small Business Consultant (ASBC™), which they obtained in November 2019 and March 2016 respectively.
