Lake Norman Charter School, the largest 5-12th grade charter school in North Carolina, is located in Huntersville, NC and was founded in 1998. Students and their parents apply for admission to Lake Norman Charter School and are chosen through a lottery process. Our high school offers a comprehensive College/University Preparatory curriculum, following the NC College/Career Ready requirements, which includes Standard, Honors, and Advanced Placement level courses, as well as complementary elective courses. As part of the curriculum, Lake Norman Charter School also provides leadership integration and service-learning opportunities which instills necessary 21st Century Skills such as civic literacy, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
