Linda Smith has had an extensive career in the banking and real estate industry. Linda started their career as an Assistant Vice President at Citibank, N.A. Real Estate Financial Services Group in 1986. Linda later joined National Westminster Bank, USA, where they worked as a Team Leader and Vice President. In 1993, they established their own company, Linda Smith & Associates, Inc., where they served as the Principal Owner until 2003. Linda then worked at Mariner's Bank as a Vice President - Loan Officer, where they managed existing portfolios, marketed loan products, and negotiated new real estate and small business loans. In 2006, Linda joined Lakeland Bank as a Vice President in the Commercial Real Estate Lending department. Linda later became the Senior Vice President in the Construction Management Administration, responsible for managing and developing the bank's larger commercial construction loans and handling grant applications for the development of affordable housing. Overall, Linda Smith possesses a wealth of experience in the banking and real estate industry, with expertise in loan management, customer acquisition, and project financing.

Linda Smith completed coursework toward a PhD. in Urban Planning at Rutgers University from 1982 to 1984. Prior to that, they obtained their Masters in Urban Planning from Hunter College between 1976 and 1978. Linda Smith received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Urban Planning from Rutgers University–New Brunswick in 1972-1976. In addition to their academic qualifications, Linda Smith obtained a certification as a Real Estate Sales Agent from ELI COHEN REAL ESTATE LLC in New Jersey in January 1996.
