Kirsten Hund Blair

Kirsten Hund Blair is the Co-Founder and CEO of Lambent Data. Kirsten was previously the Associate Vice President of Development for the National Fatherhood Initiative from February 2007 to January 2011. In this role, Kirsten led fundraising for the organization and was responsible for raising $1–1.3 million annually in private gifts and grants, both by coaching and managing a team of 2-5 other staff and via their direct efforts. Kirsten also represented NFI in interacting with Board members, prospective and current funders, partners, and others.

During their time at NFI, Kirsten wrote and prepared detailed grant applications for federal, state, and foundation funding, developed budgets for projects and departments, and coordinated with colleagues on financial analysis of NFI and projects, plus impact assessment. Kirsten also collaborated with colleagues responsible for sales of curriculum and training to support NFI's mission.

Research shows the high cost of father absence and powerful value of father involvement for child well-being. NFI is the leading provider of fatherhood resources in the U.S., having distributed (at the time of Kirsten's work) over 6.5 million resources to dads and organizations working with dads. NFI is a leading trainer, having trained 1,000s of individuals from 1,000s of organizations. NFI is also a highly quoted authority on fatherhood in America and provides resources to dads, moms, organizations and media contacts via its www.fatherhood.org website.
