Lancaster County, South Carolina is one of the fastest growing counties in South Carolina, with a 2021 estimated population of 100,336 with an average annual growth rate of 4.5% from 2020 – 2021. The County borders Charlotte, North Carolina to the north, which means we offer the ideal combination of access to big-city excitement with hometown comfort and outdoor pursuits. Lancaster County is home to four cities:  the county seat is in Lancaster with a population of nearly 10,000, and the other cities are Kershaw, Heath Springs, and Van Wyck.
