Nicholas Taylor

Nicholas Taylor is a Senior Research Fellow at RAND Europe and King's College London, with additional roles as an Honorary Researcher at Lancaster University since May 2020. Taylor has a substantial background in defense and security, having served as a Senior Principal at the UK Ministry of Defence from November 2007 to April 2025, and as a Consultant at Lockheed Martin UK and STASYS Ltd from 2002 to 2007. Prior experience includes serving as a Fighter Controller in the Royal Air Force from October 1995 to September 2001, where management and training roles were undertaken. Nicholas Taylor holds a degree in International Relations & Strategic Studies from Lancaster University, with a focus on Gulf Security and British Defence Policy, as well as educational experience at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
