Philipp Ruffiner

Philipp Ruffiner has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Philipp is currently working at Landis+Gyr, where they started in May 2020 as a Human Resources Business Partner. Philipp then progressed to become the Head of Human Resources for Switzerland & Italy in November 2021, and eventually took on the role of Head of HR Global Corporate Functions, Switzerland & Italy in October 2023.

Before joining Landis+Gyr, Philipp had a one-year break in 2019, during which they went on a business English language stay in New York and followed it with a sabbatical.

Prior to their break, they worked at Allianz Suisse as an HR Consultant and Senior Vertriebsentwickler from December 2015 to May 2019.

From April 2012 to July 2015, Philipp served as the Head of Human Resources and Finances at SP Stadt und Kanton Zürich.

In 2013, they briefly worked at SP Schweiz as the Gesamtprojektleiter Jubiläum 125 Jahre SP Schweiz.

Earlier in their career, they were involved with Zürcher Kantonalbank in various capacities. From June 2009 to October 2011, they were a Project Manager for Sponsoring Professional, and from November 2006 to March 2008, they worked as an HR Business Partner. Prior to that, they served as a Sachbearbeiter Personal from January 2003 to October 2006, and as a Junior Trainee from August 2001 to December 2002.

In the year 2000, Philipp worked at Deka Swiss Privatbank AG as a Mitarbeiter Gruppe Customer Operations.

Lastly, they began their professional journey in 1997 as a Kaufmann (Lernender) at Gétaz Romang and stayed until July 2000.

Philipp Ruffiner has a diverse educational background. Philipp attended the HWZ University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich in 2015, where they studied CAS Strategisches Kommunikationsmanagement. Philipp also enrolled at the KV Business School Zürich from 2014 to 2015, completing a Nachdiplomstudium Management and Leadership NDS HF. In 2004 to 2007, they pursued their studies at the SIB Swiss Institute for Business Administration, obtaining a degree in Betriebswirtschafter HF. Furthermore, Philipp Ruffiner attended the Berufsbildner AG Zurich in 2006 and the University of Cambridge in the same year, where they achieved a Lehrmeister, Berufsbildner und Coach certification and a Business English Certificate (BEC) respectively. Philipp began their education journey at the KBS Kaufmännische Berufsschule Brig from 1997 to 2000, completing the program as a Kaufmann. Additionally, they obtained a C1 Advanced Level in Business English certification from the Brooklyn School of Languages in 2019.
