Ali Berens

Ali Berens is a Senior Data Scientist at Land O'Lakes, Inc. since November 2021, previously holding the same title at The Climate Corporation from October 2019 to November 2021, where models for Bayer corn seed product performance were developed and evaluated. Prior experience includes roles at Bayer as a Predictive Analytics Lead, where leadership responsibilities involved guiding a team to deliver data-driven insights, and at Monsanto Company as a Data Scientist, where operational efficiencies were enhanced through predictive engines and dashboards. Ali's academic background includes a PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from Iowa State University and a BA in Mathematics from St. Olaf College. During a postdoctoral fellowship at Georgia Institute of Technology, research focused on genetic ancestry and health disparities. Ali has been recognized with the Distinguished Women in Data Science Award in 2019 and has actively contributed to mentoring and educational initiatives throughout the career.
