Tamara Willemse

Tamara Willemse has a diverse work experience spanning various design roles and leadership positions. Tamara is currently the Head of Product Design at Landytech since September 2022. Prior to that, they were a Design Leadership Forum Member at InVision, starting in July 2021.

From 2017 to 2022, Tamara worked at Absa Group, where they held the positions of Design Director: Platforms & Design Practice and User Experience Design Lead. In these roles, they were responsible for strategic platforms, design system development, and UX writing, with a focus on streamlining alignment across product, engineering, and design teams.

Before joining Absa Group, Tamara worked as a Usability Analyst at Discovery Limited from 2014 to 2017, collaborating with stakeholders to workshop ideas, conduct user testing, and produce UX/UI outputs. Prior to that, they were a UI/UX Designer at OUTsurance from 2011 to 2014, responsible for designing and developing web-based user interfaces and maintaining design standards.

Tamara began their career as a Digital Designer at Univision Communications from 2009 to 2011 and Yonder Media from 2007 to 2009. Tamara also gained experience as a Design Intern at Toolbox Studio in 2007.
