Clayton Ross has extensive work experience in the education sector. Clayton started their career as a Teacher at Dream Academy Charter High School in 2008 and later became an Instructional Coach at Dream Academy Charter High School and then an Instructional Coach at The Leona Group. Clayton then worked as a Coordinator for the Start-to-Finish Program at Lake Michigan College. Clayton also worked as a Consultant at Thompson Public Schools, where they delivered a comprehensive report on student achievement and grade configuration. Clayton then held multiple roles at Brown University, including Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant. Clayton also served as the Coordinator for the Brown University-Schenzhen School Leader Institute. Clayton then went on to work at Providence Public Schools as an Assessment Coordinator for Language and Literacy and later as a Performance & Accountability Specialist in Curriculum & Instruction. Clayton then worked as an Education Specialist at the Rhode Island Department of Education before moving on to their current role as the Director of Human Resources at Lansing School District. Throughout their career, Clayton has demonstrated a dedication to education and a commitment to improving outcomes for students.
Clayton Ross completed a Master's Degree in Urban Education Policy at Brown University from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended Western Michigan University from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Secondary Education with a focus on History and Social Studies.
