Libin Zhang

Libin Zhang, PhD, PE has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Libin is currently a Principal R&D Engineer at LanzaTech, where they specialize in simulations and modeling. Prior to this, Libin worked at Black & Veatch as a Senior Process Engineer, leading projects related to FLNG updates, CO2 capture feasibility studies, and biofuel plant design. Libin also served as a Senior Process Engineer at JGC America, Inc., where they worked on Gulf Coast Chemical and Russian Far East LNG projects. Libin's expertise in process modeling and equipment design was developed during their time as a Principal Technical Consultant at Aspen Technology. Libin also held research positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Tsinghua University, focusing on distillation separation systems and separation technology in the ethylene production process.

Libin Zhang earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University, completing the degree between 1993 and 1999.
