Matt Z.

Matt Z. has had a career in the field of biomedical research since 2008. Matt'smost recent position was as a Laboratory Operations Manager at Larkspur Biosciences in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Scientist at 4:59 NewCo, a 5AM Ventures Company from 2021 until mid-2022, where they helped design and establish EH&S documentation for a molecular biology lab. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at Relay Therapeutics, where they served as Senior Research Associate II and Senior Research Associate Biology, working on the development of a selective PIK3CA inhibitor and developing robust in vitro PD assays designed to assess potency and selectivity. Matt Z. worked at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) as a Scientific Associate from 2011 to 2016, where they were a member of a team working on the late-stage development of a small molecule MDM2 inhibitor. Matt started their career in 2008 as a Research Laboratory Technician at Massachusetts General Hospital, working for Dr. Gromek Smolen in the lab of Dr. Daniel Haber.

Matt Z. completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from SUNY New Paltz in the year 2008. However, it is unknown whether they attended any educational institution before that.
