Peter Kaddu

Peter Kaddu has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Peter currently serves as the Managing Director for Health Systems Strengthening at Last Mile Health, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they were the Deputy Managing Director for Health Systems Strengthening at the same organization from May 2021 to March 2023. Before joining Last Mile Health, Peter held the role of Technical Director at the Community Health Academy at Last Mile Health from August 2020 to May 2021.

From 2015 to 2020, Peter worked for Living Goods as the Director of Health, where they played a significant role in shaping the organization's healthcare initiatives. Prior to that, they served as the Program Manager at Protecting Families Against HIV/AIDS (PREFA) from 2013 to 2015, and as a Program Officer at Protecting Families Against HIV/AIDS from 2008 to 2013.

Peter also has experience in the medical field, having worked as a Medical Officer at Wakiso District from 2003 to 2006, and at Nyenga Hospital from 2001 to 2002.

Peter Kaddu completed their Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) at Makerere University from 1996 to 2001. Peter then pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a focus on Health Policy and Health Care Financing at the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from 2006 to 2007. In 2016, they attended the University of Geneva for a course on Global Health: An Interdisciplinary Overview. Continuing their education, Peter completed the Royal College Advanced Certificate in Clinical Education at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow, United Kingdom, from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, they also participated in the 20th International Vaccinology Course at the International Vaccine Institute in Seoul, Korea. Recently, in 2022, Peter completed the Financial Management for Humanitarian and Development Professionals course offered by PM4NGOs.
