Niklas Strid

Niklas Strid has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Niklas began their career as a bank teller at Svenska Handelsbanken in 2001 and worked there until 2002. Niklas then transitioned into the security industry, working as an armored car driver for Securitas Värde from 2003 to 2004 and later for Loomis from 2005 to 2006.

In 2010, Niklas joined Paradox Development Studio, where they held various roles over the years. Niklas started as an Assistant Developer in October 2010 and worked their way up to become a Senior Scripter in April 2012. From April 2014 to December 2015, they served as the Senior Scripter & Usermod Coordinator. Niklas then took on the role of Lead Technical Scripter from January 2016 to August 2017. In September to December 2017, they briefly worked as a Programmer before becoming the Lead AI Programmer from January 2018 to March 2022.

Most recently, in March 2022, Niklas joined Lavapotion as an AI Programmer. Prior to that, they also had a period as an indie game developer from March 2022 to November 2022.

Niklas Strid's education history begins in 2004 when they attended Vancouver Film School, studying screenwriting until 2005. In the following year, 2005, they also attended Robert McKee's Story Seminar, focusing on screenwriting. Continuing their education, Strid went on to study at Gotland University from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Screenwriting. Finally, in 2009 and 2010, Strid attended Futuregames Academy for an undisclosed field of study or degree.
