Matt Garrett is a seasoned professional in the field of technology transfer and innovation, currently serving as the Director of the Innovation and Partnerships Office at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since May 2023. Previously, Matt held significant roles at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, where responsibilities included Chief Technology Officer, Director of Technology Transfer, and Director of Private Partnerships. Other notable positions include Technology Integration Manager at Q-NEXT, Commercialization Manager and Manager of Research Partnerships at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Deputy Director at the Air Force Institute of Technology's Center for Technical Intelligence Studies and Research. Matt's earlier career features leadership in engineered materials at Cornerstone Research Group and extensive technical development at FLIR Systems, where projects focused on novel materials and sensors for defense applications. Matt holds degrees from Penn State University and Florida State University.
