Evan Arnold

Evan Arnold has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Evan'smost recent role is as the Founder of LayerUp, a company focused on reducing residential carbon emissions through software that streamlines insulation companies' processes. In 2022, they also served as an Advisor at Bluejay HOA.

Prior to that, Evan was the Head of Software & Co-Founder at Yard Stick PBC, where they led a team in building an MVP for a web app and ETL pipelines that measure carbon sequestration in soil. Evan joined Yard Stick in 2021 and left in 2022.

From 2019 to 2020, Evan worked as an Engineering Manager at Flexport. In 2019, they took a paternity leave, and before that, they held the position of CTO & Head of Product at Snapdocs, a company revolutionizing the mortgage market with modern software. Evan'stenure at Snapdocs was from 2017 to 2019, and they initially joined as the CTO in 2014.

In 2012, Evan served as the Lead Engineer at Afar Media, where they transformed the web platform from a travel-focused social network to a curated platform. Evan also held the role of Software Engineer at Afar Media in 2012. Before that, they were a Software Developer at ScholarPRO, a seed stage company that matched students with scholarships, from 2011 to 2012.

Evan's earlier experiences include working as a Freelance Software Engineer at Industrial Data Associates from 2010 to 2011, where they built and launched a document management system. Evan also worked as a Tour Guide at Bobby's Bike Hike in 2010.
