TJ Schmakel

TJ Schmakel is the current Head of Customer Success at Layr. Prior to joining Layr, TJ held various sales positions with Chubb, CNA Insurance, Travelers, and Payak-Dubbs Insurance Agency Inc. TJ has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry and is a expert in small commercial insurance.

TJ Schmakel graduated from Toledo Central Catholic HS and then went on to Franciscan University of Steubenville where they obtained their Bachelor of Science in Marketing/Marketing Management, General.

TJ Schmakel reports to Phillip Naples, Co-Founder, CEO. They are on a team with Brice Hartmann - Head of Engineering, Josh Morse - Head of Partnerhips, and Andrew Egenes - Co-Founder, Head of Product. Amari Jones - Customer Success Advocate, Jodi Johansen - Customer Success Advocate, and Sarah Grace Sullivan - Customer Success Advocate report to TJ Schmakel.
