Sonia Chowdhury, JD, MPH

Sonia Chowdhury, JD, MPH has a diverse work experience, starting with a Retail Management Intern at Nordstrom in 2014. In 2015, they worked as an Operations Specialist - Trade Settlement at Brown Brothers Harriman and as the Founder & CEO of Tara Bene LLC. In 2016, they were a Client Onboarding/Payroll and Benefits Specialist at Gusto! and in 2018, they held two positions as a Graduate Student Assistant at the Center for Health, Work & Environment and Health Links, as well as an MPH Employee Wellness Intern at Children's Hospital Colorado. In 2019, Sonia was a Health Engagement Consultant at Cigna, providing consultative expertise in employee wellness and employee benefits to 75+ employers across Colorado and Wyoming. Currently, they are an Employment Law Attorney at Employers Council.

Sonia Chowdhury, JD, MPH has an extensive education history. Sonia obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from Queen's University in 2015, majoring in Human Resources, Organizational Behaviours/Psychology. Sonia then went on to obtain a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Colorado School of Public Health in 2019, specializing in Physical Activity and Healthy Lifestyles. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Denver - Sturm College of Law, specializing in Employment & Workplace Law. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including an Attorney certification from the Colorado Supreme Court in 2022, a Life and Health Insurance Producer License from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) in 2020, and an AFAA Group Fitness Instructor License from the Aerobics and Fitness Association Of America Limited in 2015.
