Gabriel M. has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Gabriel started their career at Ricoh Americas Corporation in 1988 as a Depot Repair Specialist, where they repaired and refurbished electronic devices. Gabriel then became a Product Specialist, providing technical support and acting as a liaison between the technical support team and developers. Gabriel later transitioned to a Senior Information Technology Specialist role, supporting the Citrix Server farm environment and administering Active Directory users and groups.

In 2010, Gabriel joined BASF as a Security Analyst, managing security configuration policies for the antivirus environment and leading a migration project that saved licensing fees. Gabriel also served as a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst, utilizing open source and paid intelligence services to create threat intelligence reports and collaborating with the incident response team for threat hunting. Additionally, Gabriel held the position of Cyber Security Incident Handler, triaging and responding to security events, developing handling procedures, and creating processes for cross-functional teams.

From 2019 to 2021, Gabriel worked as an Independent Cyber Security Incident Response & Threat Intelligence Professional, keeping abreast of new cyber security attacks, conducting passive reconnaissance, and attending industry webinars for self-education.

In 2020, they joined Chugach Technical Solutions, LLC as a Security Administrator, responsible for auditing and developing remediation strategies for various systems, ensuring continuous system security improvement, and assisting in validating risk management framework controls.

Currently, Gabriel is employed at Leader Communications Inc. (LCI) as a Senior Cyber Security Specialist - Team Lead. Their responsibilities include leading a team, conducting system audits, and ensuring compliance with cyber security regulations.

Throughout their career, Gabriel has showcased expertise in areas such as cyber security, threat intelligence, incident response, and information assurance.

Gabriel M. has a Certificate in Network Engineering & Data Communications from The Chubb Institute, which they obtained from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they also received a Certificate in Electronics Technology from Metropolitan Technical Institute, which they completed from 1986 to 1988.

In terms of additional certifications, Gabriel M. has obtained several. In May 2021, they acquired the DISA HBSS Admin (201) ePO 5.x certificate from DISA. Gabriel also obtained the Disa ACAS certification from DISA in the same month. In December 2017, Gabriel M. achieved the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification from GIAC. Lastly, they obtained the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from the Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) in July 2014.
