Kimberle Sanders

Kimberle was born and raised in the Bay Area and attended high school in Berkeley. She received her undergraduate degree in Communications from St. Mary’s College and a Master’s in Public Administration from Cal State East Bay.

Currently, Kimberle works for the West Oakland Health Council as the Director of Human Resources. In her past work history, she owned an insurance agency for many years. She has worked in nonprofit housing and health care services providing operations, HR, and fundraising services. She has also worked in the public school arena as a Risk Manager, Benefits Supervisor, and as the Director of Classified Personnel.

She is passionate about social reform, particularly in the areas of fairness and equity in education, health care, nutrition, and social justice issues. Her life goal is to add value to and be an instrumental part of a kinder more inclusive society.
