About the Role: As the Vice President of Presales (Solutions Engineer), you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company's success by leading a team of solution engineers, overseeing technical aspects of our products and services, and collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless execution of our solutions. This role requires a visionary leader with exceptional technical acumen, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive innovation in our solutions.The role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, leadership, and effective communication skills.

What will you do?

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Define and execute the department's strategic vision, goals, and objectives in alignment with the overall company strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and marketing, to ensure the alignment of solutions with market needs and business goals.
  • Team Management
  • Recruit, lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing Solutions Engineering team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
  • Solution Design and Development   - Oversee the design, development, and optimization of innovative solutions that address customer needs and the market trends.   - Provide guidance and expertise to the team in designing complex, customized solutions for clients.   - Collaborate with the executive team to define the company's solution strategy and roadmap.
  • Pre-Sales Support   - Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and craft tailored solutions that demonstrate value and competitive differentiation.   - Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and proposals to present technical solutions effectively.
  • Technical Expertise   - Provide technical leadership and guidance to the solution engineering team.   - Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products, services, and industry trends to effectively communicate the value proposition to clients.   - Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends that can enhance the solutions offered by the company.
  • Collaboration:   - Collaborate with product management teams to provide feedback and insights from customer interactions that can inform product development and improvements.   - Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions into the broader ecosystem.
  • Client Relationships:   - Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted technical advisor and building credibility for the organization. * Performance Metrics:  - Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of solutions engineering efforts.   - Regularly report to executive leadership on departmental progress, challenges, and opportunities.

What are we looking for? Must Have :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
  • Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in technical roles, including solution engineering, software development, or related areas.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of the industry, market trends, and emerging technologies.

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical contributions.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering successful technical solutions to customers.
  • Business acumen and the ability to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Measures of Success :

  • Revenue growth : Attainment of 100% of the new business and expansion acquisition goals for East Region
  • Team performance and development : Build, Enable and Scale the Solution Engineering team 
  • Customer satisfaction : Customer surveys and feedback scores.  Customer retention rates

Reporting Relationship : Reporting to CRO - East
