James Powell

James Powell has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. James started their career at Renishaw as an Electronics Design Engineer in September 2011 and worked there until September 2017, during which they gained experience and expertise as a Senior Electronics Design Engineer. In October 2017, James moved to Ultraleap and worked as an Electronic Engineer until May 2019. James then progressed to the role of Senior Digital Design & Verification Engineer from June 2019 to April 2020. Following this, they took on the position of Firmware Lead from April 2020 to November 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Digital Design & Verification Engineer at Ultraleap starting from November 2021.

James Powell completed their Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 2007 to 2011.
