The Role

Working as the IoT & Integration Engineer, you will be an ‘Administrator’ of several Customer-hosted and learnd-hosted BMS Servers / VMs, of which duties consist of: general admin & housekeeping, security, customer support (business hours, reactive only, best endeavours), ensuring optimum VM performance, development and enhancement(s) of Supervisor features, and the creation and control measures of protocols and best practices from use and engineering of the Supervisors.

You will build / create, test and commission Niagara 4 Stations pre-installation, provide remote Technical Support (software/testing related - where required) to the Field Engineers during-installation, and import Stations, Points, Alarms, Histories etc. from JACE(s) > Supervisor(s) > Supervisor(s) during-installation / post-installation and following commission and close-out of projects.

Whilst ‘commissioning’ new IoT devices and buildings into Niagara 4 Supervisors, you will be expected to maintain configuration and functionality of the system(s), manage software updates, whilst designing the User Interface and providing the End-user the data-insights, analytics, tools and abilities to manage and maintain buildings via the Supervisors from data-driven decision making for optimum building performance.

Duties of the role will expand beyond Tridium / Niagara 4 and there will be opportunities and expectation to perform similar works across other platforms such as Siemens Desigo Xworks, Trend SET Engineering, IQVISION and others.

Other duties of the role will include offering guidance, support and training to other team members to upskill their abilities with BMS ‘Engineering Tools’

The Person

The person suited to this role should be a highly trained, highly experienced BEMS/BMS professional and specialist of Tridium / Niagara Framework and Siemens Building technology.

They will need to be skilled with integrating the JACEs, other BEMS/BMS controllers and IoT devices with multiple and diverse products / systems, demonstrating experience and understanding of control/operation from plant schematics to implementation into strategy-based programming. They would need to identify and escalate incorrect control-based elements of the plant, making sure software is not impacting plant operation.

Works well under pressure and within a team, communicating effectively with Project Managers and Field-based Installation and Commission Engineer, to deliver project completion.

• Technically Proficient in Niagara 4

• Interest in Data Centres, ‘Smart Buildings’ and IoT

• Windows Server / VM deployment and configuration

• Graphical/Visual Designer of Supervisor and BMS/BEMS Front-ends (UI/UX)

• Experience in building Server-level, Multi-site / Multi-controller Supervisor platforms

Working Pattern and Package

• 37.5 hours, Monday-Friday

• Office-based (Remote, not in the Field), or hybrid working with flexibility with working from home

• Annual Leave Entitlement: 25 Days
