Amy Hoffenberg

Amy Hoffenberg is a Learning Design Specialist focused on Environmental Science at Learning Sandbox since December 2023. Previously, Amy served as a Learning Designer at Apolitical from November 2022 to September 2023, and at 2U from August 2021 to August 2022, where responsibilities included designing curriculum with Yale School of Management faculty and managing localization projects. Earlier experience includes working as a Research Assistant at the South African National Biodiversity Institute, contributing to biological invasions and threatened species assessments. Amy also supported lab work on fossil diatoms at the University of Cape Town and held a temporary position as a Library Administrator at SANParks. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Conservation Biology, a Biological Science Honours in Applied Biology, and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology and Genetics, all earned at the University of Cape Town.
