Sulaiman A. Mirdad

Sulaiman A. Mirdad, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Sulaiman A. currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Lebara Mobile KSA since August 2020. From September 2019 to October 2020, they were a Governor Advisor at the National Cybersecurity Authority, where they led global initiatives and collaborated with national and international partners.

Prior to that, from July 2017 to April 2019, Sulaiman was a Minister Adviser on IT Industry Stimulation at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Saudi Arabia. Sulaiman A. led multiple initiatives to stimulate and grow the technology industry in KSA.

Sulaiman also has experience working at the Communications, Space & Technology Commission (CST) where they held various roles such as Deputy Governor, Information Technology, General Manager of Info.Tech., and Director of e-Transactions. During their time at CST, they developed national IT strategies and initiatives.

Additionally, Sulaiman served as a Board Member from 2007 to 2017 and held the position of V.P. Technology at Naseej AAS from 2001 to 2003. Sulaiman A. also co-founded and served as the Principal Engineer at InfoLibria, Inc. from 1997 to 2001.

Throughout their career, Sulaiman has demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and expertise in the IT and technology industry.

Dr. Sulaiman A. Mirdad pursued their education in computer science, specializing in various sub-disciplines. In 1981, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. Following this, from 1988 to 1989, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science at American University. Dr. Mirdad then furthered their academic journey by enrolling in Boston University, where they completed their Ph.D. in Computer Science between 1990 and 1997. In 2009, they attended the London Business School, although no specific degree or area of study is mentioned during that period.
