Amber Vargas is an attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, a position held since September 2018, where responsibilities include representing victims of domestic violence in various legal matters and assisting with applications to Tennessee’s Criminal Injuries Compensation Fund. In addition to legal work, Amber has served as the nursery manager at Fairview United Methodist Church since May 2014, overseeing children's needs and classroom activities. Previous experience includes internships at Legal Aid of East Tennessee and Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee, as well as advocacy for domestic violence survivors at Haven House. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Tennessee College of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Maryville College.
