Marie Jordan

SVP, Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Lehigh Valley Health Network

Marie (Kim) Jordan, DNP, is Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN). She is accountable for the operational leadership and management of patient care services across a health network with more than 1,800 beds. In this role, Dr. Jordan creates and sustains an environment that attracts and retains employees committed to continuous improvement in quality care, patient safety and customer service. She assures standards of care are maintained for all clinical and support areas, and fosters collaborative research activity to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the body of health care and nursing knowledge.

Dr. Jordan completed her Doctor in Nursing Practice at DeSales University, holds a Master in Health Administration from the University of Scranton and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland. She is board certified as a Nurse Executive by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She achieved a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt through the Institute of Industrial Engineers and completed a Nursing Executive Fellowship with the GE Health Management Academy.

Prior to becoming CNO, Dr. Jordan’s 30 years of experience includes a broad range of nursing activities, from bedside nursing in a surgical intensive care unit and managing service line areas of surgical oncology and orthopedics, to more advanced leadership of entire divisions of units and oversight of an entire campus’s inpatient nursing. She has presented orally on a national basis, been published several times, and holds both national and local memberships in professional nursing organizations.
