Kyle Blomquist

Kyle Blomquist has a diverse work experience in software engineering. Kyle is currently a Software Engineer at Leland since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Databricks from October 2021 to March 2023. Before joining Leland, Kyle worked at LinkedIn as a Staff Software Engineer and then as a Senior Software Engineer from May 2017 to October 2021. Kyle was responsible for working on the SEO Platform team as a part of the Growth Organization. Kyle developed platform infrastructures for the Guest Experience, which includes pages seen by members who have not signed in, non-members who have not created an account, and bots/crawlers/scrapers.

Kyle also has experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Medallia from June 2016 to March 2017, where they developed service-oriented architectures and utilized front-end technologies like Angular and Redux. Kyle was involved in transitioning to a React-based architecture.

Before that, Kyle worked at Salesforce as a Member of Technical Staff from December 2014 to June 2016. Kyle designed and implemented a custom JS platform based on Flux, React, and Jest. Kyle also provided support for automation systems.

Kyle's earlier experiences include working as a Software Engineer at Polyvore from October 2013 to October 2014, where they designed and implemented features in LAMP and a custom JS library. Kyle also worked at Groupon as a Member of Technical Staff from August 2012 to October 2013, building a frontend platform using Node.js.

In addition, Kyle worked at Recurly Inc. as a UI Developer from January 2012 to August 2012, Red Delicious Media as a Web/Mobile Web Development Lead from January 2010 to February 2012, and AtTask, Inc. as a Senior UI Developer from October 2011 to January 2012. At AtTask, they focused on the UI and developed features using Java, JSP, CSS, and JS.

Kyle Blomquist attended East Tennessee State University from 2006 to 2009, where they completed a Bachelor's Program in Digital Media, Computer Science, and Psychology. In addition to their degree, Kyle has also obtained certifications in ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) from ICAgile and Preventing Workplace Harassment from Emtrain.
