Chad Abrams has a diverse work experience. Chad began their career in 2004 as the Deputy Chief EMS - Administration at Leon County Government. In 2015, they were promoted to the role of Director Office of Public Safety - Chief of Emergency Medical Services at the same company, where they continue to work. Additionally, they have served as an Adjunct Instructor at Tallahassee Community College from 2010 to 2015.

Chad Abrams has a diverse education history, with a focus on public administration and emergency management. Chad obtained a Master of Science in Administration (MSA) with a specialization in Public Administration from the University of West Florida. In addition, they completed the Executive Leaders Program in the Center for Homeland Defense and Security at the Naval Postgraduate School.

Chad Abrams also holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Safety Administration, with a concentration in Fire Science and Emergency Management, from St. Petersburg College. Furthermore, they have an Associate in Science degree in Emergency Administration and Management, also from St. Petersburg College.

Prior to their academic pursuits, Chad Abrams completed the Paramedic Training program at the Williamsport Hospital and Medical Center Paramedic Training Institute. Chad has obtained certifications such as Chief EMS Officer from the Center for Public Safety Excellence and Paramedic from the Florida Department of Health.

Chad Abrams' commitment to their field is evident through their additional certifications, including being a Fellow of the American College of Paramedic Executives.
