Alex Noakes

Alex Noakes has a comprehensive work experience in the technology industry. In 2013 and 2014, Alex worked as a Research Intern at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), respectively. During their time at MIT, they implemented features for Cimba.co and assisted in launching the decentralized micro-blogging web application.

In 2015, Alex joined Goldman Sachs as a Data Engineer, where they worked until 2017. After that, they joined HintMD in 2017 as a Senior Software Engineer, and later became a Lead Software Engineer in 2019. In 2019, Alex also started working at Thorn as a Software Engineer.

In 2020, Alex joined Revance Therapeutics, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in Payments. They worked in this role until 2021 when they moved to Affirm. At Affirm, they held the position of Senior Software Engineer for the Debit+ team until 2022.

Currently, Alex is working at Level as a Senior Software Engineer, starting in November 2022.

Alex Noakes attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Alex also obtained a Group Fitness Instructor (GEI) certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE Fitness) in February 2020.
