Andrew Hong

Andrew Hong has had a diverse range of work experiences. Andrew is currently working as a Software Engineer at Level since August 2021. Prior to this, they were a Computer Science Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science from August 2019 to the present. As a teaching assistant, their responsibilities included assisting students in understanding Python and basic algorithms, as well as teaching topics such as Object Oriented programming. Andrew also served as a Machine Learning Teaching Assistant from August 2020 to December 2020 at the same university.

In 2020, Andrew worked as a Business Intelligence Engineer Intern at Amazon from May 2020 to August 2020. Andrew also had an internship as a Data Analyst Intern at Downtown Music from May 2019 to August 2019. Prior to their internships, Andrew served as a Statistics Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University from January 2018 to June 2018.

Andrew's earliest work experience was as a Research and Development Intern at Acer from June 2017 to July 2017. Before entering the field of computer science, they worked as a Front Desk Clerk at Gina's Tennis World from April 2015 to April 2016. In this role, Andrew was responsible for handling scheduling and payments for events and court reservations, greeting customers, and administering cash registers.

Andrew Hong earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Statistics and Machine Learning from Carnegie Mellon University, where they attended from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a high school diploma from Governor Livingston High School, where they studied from 2013 to 2017.
