Lead Counsel - Product And Privacy at Level

John Williams has a extensive work experience, starting in 1995 as an Issues Director and Research Assistant for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. John later served as the Legislative Director for Representative Baron P. Hill in Indiana's 9th Congressional District. In 2001, they worked as an Assistant General Counsel for IMPAC 2000. From 2003 to 2007, they worked as a Professional Staff member for the U.S. House Committee on Rules. John then served as the Deputy Chief Investigative Counsel for the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform from 2007 to 2009. From 2009 to 2014, they worked as the General Counsel and Chief Investigator for the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation. Starting in 2015, they worked as the Senior Counselor and Senior Agency Official for Privacy at the Federal Communications Commission's Office of General Counsel until 2019. From 2019 to 2022, they held the position of Senior Counsel and Parliamentarian for the U.S. House of Representatives, Committee on the Judiciary. Currently, they are working as the Lead Counsel - Product and Privacy at Level, starting from March 2022. In addition to their various roles, they also served as the Federal Communications Commission, Agency Review Team Leader for the Biden-Harris Transition from 2020 to 2021.

John Williams holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Georgetown University Law Center, which they obtained in an unspecified year prior to 2001. John further pursued their education at the University of Chicago, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Medieval History in 1995. Prior to that, John completed a Diploma in Archivistica Paleografia Latina e Diplomatica from the Archivio di Stato di Genova (Republic of Italy) in 1993. Lastly, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree from the University of Virginia in an unspecified year before 1988.
