Shimon Goulkarov

Senior Vice President Of Product R&d at LEVL Technologies

Shimon Goulkarov has a diverse range of work experience spanning several companies and roles. Shimon is currently the VP of Engineering at LEVL Technologies, a position they have held since July 2021. Prior to that, they were the Head of Engineering at LEVL Technologies from October 2020 to July 2021.

Before joining LEVL Technologies, Shimon was a Co-Founder & VP R&D at a start-up from March 2020 to October 2020. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Axxana, where they held the position of Director, Head of Software Development from October 2018 to March 2020. Prior to that, they were a SW Team Leader at Axxana from January 2016 to October 2018.

Earlier in their career, Shimon worked at PeerApp as a Senior Real Time SW Engineer from June 2014 to December 2015. Prior to that, they worked at Imperva as a Real Time SW Engineer from November 2012 to June 2014. Shimon also worked at Orckit-Corrigent as a Real Time SW Engineer from January 2011 to October 2012, and as an Embedded SW Engineer from September 2007 to May 2011.

Shimon's career began at Ben Gurion University, where they worked as a SW Engineer from February 2007 to August 2007, and in IT from September 2006 to April 2007.

Throughout their career, Shimon has gained experience in various areas such as engineering management, software development, research, and protocol optimization. Shimon has worked on projects related to data protection, disaster recovery, business continuity, IT resiliency solutions, content caching and acceleration, file activity monitoring, and packet transport network switches. Shimon has also been involved in product development transformation and the implementation of Agile methodologies.

Shimon Goulkarov completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where they studied from 2004 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Shimon also obtained a certification in Object-Oriented Design from Coursera in January 2020.
