Janette Thompson, CDM, CFPP has extensive work experience in food service and management roles. Janette most recently worked at Levy Restaurants as a Human Resources Compliance Manager since 2022. Prior to that, they were a Patient Services Manager at TouchPoint Support Services from 2021 to 2022. Janette also worked at Morrison Healthcare, where they held the positions of Retail Manager from 2018 to 2020 and Patient Service Manager from 2014 to 2018. Janette was a Dining Service Manager at Summit of Uptown from 2012 to 2014, and a Food and Beverage Supervisor at Princess Tours in 2008. Earlier in their career, Janette served as a Barista at Kendall Kaffe, a Prep/Line Cook at Kendall College Dining Room, and held various roles including Food and Beverage Supervisor and Kaffe Manager at Princess Tours and Kendall College. Janette also worked as a Cocktail Server at Blue Cruises owned by Premier Yacht Inc in 2006. Janette has a strong background in leadership, customer service, team management, and food services.

Janette Thompson, CDM, CFPP, obtained a B.A in Food & Beverage Management from Kendall College (Les Roches School of Hospitality Management) from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, they earned an Associates of Applied Science in Culinary Arts from Kendall College from 2003 to 2005.

Janette has also obtained several additional certifications. In August 2020, they became a Certified Dietary Manager and a Certified Food Protection Professional (CDM-CFPP) through the Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals (ANFP). In May 2020, they became a ServSafe Instructor/Proctor through the National Restaurant Association. In January 2019, they earned a ServSafe Manager certification from the same institution. Lastly, in July 2020, they became an NRFSP Test Administrator Proctor Trainer through the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals (NRFSP).
